NCN Monday morning group, which is organized around a process for problem-solving using the Socratic method to mine the “Wisdom of the Crowd.” The sessions will be facilitated by Richard Brown and me this coming Monday.

This is a powerful process that helps nonprofit professionals develop creative solutions to challenges … and reveals pathways to build on new opportunities for all who participate.

Please come to the session with a challenge you are facing; better yet, please email it to me ahead of the meeting. It is a safe space.

Socratic Session Outline and Promotion

The NCN Monday morning group will be trying a process to do problem-solving using the Socratic

method that mines the “Wisdom of the Crowd.” The sessions will be facilitated by Larry Raff and Richard Brown.

Here is how it works.

1. A member of the group brings a challenge they are facing in their consulting practice.

2. The group asks the member questions to understand the circumstances surrounding the

challenge, and the member responds succinctly.

3. The member is asked if they want to change how the challenge is described.

4. The group then suggests solutions to the challenge.

5. The member is asked what aspect of the solutions offered they may implement within the

next three months.

6. The group is then asked what they learned from the session.

challenges … and reveals pathways for building on new opportunities.
