Synthesis Partnership

Synthesis Partnership works with non-profit organizations facing or creating change to align institutional strategy, identity, planning and facilities with vision, mission and values. The foundation of Synthesis Partnership’s approach to any assignment is attentive listening to the situation, needs, culture and aspirations of the client. Occasionally clients come to us with quite narrow and specific needs; more often we guide them through integrated planning processes combining elements of strategic analysis and planning, institutional identity development, organizational development, program and business planning, and strategic evaluation of facilities. Our breadth of understanding of nonprofit sectors and issues helps us to ask the right questions and explore all of the relevant concerns to assure integrated explorations and solutions. We have worked with a wide variety of non-profit organizations: schools and colleges, performing arts groups, museums, libraries, health care organizations, environmental groups, and social service agencies. Our assignments have ranged from guiding the groundwork for new organizations (Scituate Health Plan, Imtooyoungforthis! Cancer Foundation), to helping young organizations establish themselves for a more stable future (Winston School, Heritage Harbor Museum, Fishing Partnership Health Plan) to assisting mature organizations plan their way to greater successes (Brown Medical School, Moses Brown School, Goodspeed Musicals) or ambitious new challenges (Mystic Seaport, St. George’s Independent School, the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Save the Bay).
