 Foundation Management Associates provides outsourced accounting and administrative support services primarily to small non-profit organizations. We specialize in helping a non-profit's management and board eliminate the headaches associated with their accounting and bookkeeping processes. We do this by providing a comprehensive service, providing all their financial management needs ranging from bookkeeping to CFO, but only for the amount of time they need during the month. We also help them streamline and manage their annual audit function as well. Small non-profits often need the services of a controller or a CFO, but can only afford a bookkeeper. This can cause constant frustration with the organization's management and board, as they often find that their bookkeeper does not have the "bandwidth" to meet their financial reporting needs. This is where FMA can help. By leveraging technology and streamlining their bookkeeping process, we provide our clients with a comprehensive but cost-effective accounting service. In essence, we become their accounting department. And we can often provide these services at no more than the price of a good bookkeeper. We operate behind the scenes in a virtual, paperless environment, and so we don't require the use of our client's valuable real estate space. This allows us to provide these services to anywhere and from anywhere in the world. Our clients range from local Boston-based clients such as Dunkin Brands Community Foundation, to a school in an outer island of the Bahamas, to a hospital located in the back country of rural Haiti. We have been endorsed by Financial Executives International, an international network of Chief Financial Officers and Controllers, whose Boston Chapter outsourced their accounting function to us.
